2017: Crime short story, More Than True, awarded a Commended mention in the short Story category of the 2017 New England Thunderbolt Prize for Crime Writing.

2015: 60-line poem, The Waterhole, awarded a Highly Commended mention in the Poetry category of the 2015 New England Thunderbolt Prize for Crime Writing.

 

2008: Equal third prize, Scarlet Stilettos, for crime short story set in 1854, Red Gold.

2002: Awarded a Special Commendation for crime story in verse and song – Lovely Dark and Deep. Presented by Sisters In Crime - Scarlet Stiletto awards.

2001: Awarded the Comic Crime prize for the funniest short crime story, Dead End.  (S.I.C.)
